Ammassalik / Tasiilaq - Museum, Seal Skin Coat - East Greenland

A traditional seal skin parka with decorative beading in the museum at Ammassalik / Tasiilaq. If you find yourself here, then make sure you make the effort to visit. When I was there in August 2009 it was curated by a very affable and knowledgeable Danish man who I would have liked to spend more time with (and visit the turf-house) but had to leave to get the lift to an excursion I had booked.
