Ventifact - Taylor Valley - Dry Valleys

Some of the larger rocks in the Dry Valleys are shaped into "Ventifacts". These are rocks that have been abraded by wind blown sand or ice crystals, it is the abrasive materials picked up by the wind that do the eroding - not the wind itself.
